Along the coasts of the Gulf of Mexico, western Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, flame cardinalfish can be found near anemones, coral colonies, estuaries, mangroves, seagrass beds and rocky areas.

Details:

Flame cardinalfish have striking eyes with two solid white lines running just around the iris. Their bodies are bright orange with dark spots near the base of their tail, dorsal fin and gill slits.
