Diet:

As opportunistic eaters, gray snappers aren't picky about their food. They feed mainly on crustaceans like shrimp and crabs, but will also eat smaller fishes, octopus, worms and mollusks.

Range & Habitat:

Occurring in the western Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea, gray snappers live along reefs, rocky areas, mangroves and estuaries.

Details:

Gray snappers are light gray in color with darker dorsal fins and tail. Some gray snappers may display small spots or bars along their body depending on their age and surrounding environment.
