Details:
Honeycomb rabbitfish are named for the distinct black dots that cover their body, stretching from the tip of their nose to the base of their deeply forked tail. Along their dorsal fin and tip of their tail, these rabbitfish have bright yellow coloring. These fish have a poisonous gland they can release when they feel threatened. The venom produced by their glands is used to deter predators, making them one of the few fish species to possess this unique defense mechanism.
