Range & Habitat:

Throughout the eastern part of the United States, eastern pine snakes can be found in sandhills, longleaf pine forests, oak woodlands and other dry areas with scrub.

Details:

Eastern pine snakes have large thick bodies that are tan in color with black-brown blotches. These blotches are more distinct towards their tail and their coloring can range from super pale to intense.
