Found in the eastern and western Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico, redspotted hawkfish inhabit rocky areas, shallow caves and crevices.

Details:

Redspotted hawkfish have an identifiable large black spot at the base of their tail, brown vertical striping, and red polka dots on their face and dorsal fin. Known for their ambush predation style, these hawkfish often perch on rocks or corals and strike at passing prey.
