Details:

Spottail pinfish are named for the small black dot at the base of their tail. Their oval, silvery bodies can thrive in both brackish and marine waters. Like other pinfish, they have strong, flat teeth for crushing hard shells. They feed on a mix of algae, small crustaceans, and invertebrates.
