Near coral-heavy areas, lagoons and seaward reefs, telescope wrasses can be found in the Indo-Pacific Ocean.
Details:
Telescope wrasses have black bars running horizontally through their eyes. These black bars are more prominent in females and can be used to distinguish them from the males. They have a long, slender body with a pointed snout, which gives them their characteristic “telescope” appearance, especially evident when they mature into males.
