08/01/2018 Turtle was found on Casperson Beach and was transported to Mote for treatment for Red Tide toxcity. Blood work was run. Animal will be given subcutaneous fluids daily until eating and behaving normally. Augusta was too weak to put in water today.
08/03/2018 Augusta finally passed her water test and is now in a shallow rehab. pool. She ate a small amount of food when offered today. She also defecated some sea shells.
08/16/2018 Augusta continues to improve. Her tank is now at full depth. She is eating all food types offered and is beginning to forage the food on her own. She continues to spend much of the day resting.
09/05/2018 Augusta was transported by FWC to Honeymoon Island for release!
