5/24/14 Found floating and unable to dive. Discovered internal fishing hooks upon taking xrays.
11/24/14 Turtle was taken to UF Zoological medicine Service for diagnostics and a ct scan. Scan revealed that hook is positioned around trachea but not obstructing function. Surgery is not an option at this time.
12/2/14 Turtle is eating well, still having some buoyancy issues.
3/23/15 Moved Turtle to deeper med tank to see if this will help with buoyancy.
5/21/2015 Turtle is now on display as an exhibit turtle but is still under rehab care.
9/28/2015 Bellatrix has been deemed nonreleasable and will remain at Mote as an educational display turtle.
08/19/2016 Due to declining condition and poor prognosis, Bellatrix was humanely euthanized
