Turtle was euthanized
8/30 Turtle was found by a fisherman having trouble surfacing. This turtle, Brock, has one of the worst fibropapilloma conditions we have ever seen. One eye is obliterated and the other is almost completely covered — though the cornea is clear. The turtle will be sent for an MRI once stable to determine if any internal tumors are present.
9/12 Turtle had an MRI, and it was determined that the animal should be humanely euthanized due to the severity of the fibropapillomatosis.
