Commemorative stamp with Mote’s Founder, Dr. Eugenie Clark, revealed at Mote on her birthday

On May 4, 2022, Mote's Founding Director, Dr. Eugenie Clark, was honored with a new commemorative Forever Stamp from the United States Postal Service. The First Day of Issuance ceremony marked the launch of sales of 18 million stamps in post offices across the U.S. that featured a photo of Dr. Clark captured by National Geographic photographer David Doubilet and a lemon shark. The stamp was designed by multidisciplinary artist Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya. The ceremony took place at Mote Aquarium on what would have been Dr. Clark's 100h birthday.
