Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium has partnered with Drum Circle Distilling, an award-winning small artisan distillery located in Sarasota known for their Siesta Key Spiced Rum, to produce a series of five rum bottle labels depicting different marine animals.

These labels will be placed on Drum Circle Distilling’s Siesta Key Toasted Coconut Rum and two percent of the sales from each of the labels will be donated directly to the Mote research program for each respective animal. The sea turtle label kicked off the series in early March, the manatee label followed in late May, and the shark label is to make its debut in late June. The last two labels have yet to be chosen but will likely feature a dolphin and an otter.

“Mote is grateful for Drum Circle Distilling’s support in creating these incredible and fun sea life labels,” said Kaitlyn Fusco, Mote’s Public Relations Manager. “The funds from each of the labels support Mote, a homegrown independent, nonprofit marine research and education institution.”

You can pick up your bottle to support Mote by visiting Drum Circle Distilling located at 2212 Industrial Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34234.

"We are very happy to help support the fantastic programs at Mote Marine Laboratory by donating 50 cents from every bottle in the sea life series," said Troy Roberts, CEO and Founder of Drum Circle Distilling.
