Biography:
Adam (he/him) is focused on Mesophotic octocoral, Shallow water stony coral, 3D photogrammetry, Recruit rearing.
Growing up in Denver Colorado, the ocean was always a big part of Adam’s life. At a young age his passion grew as he learned more about the extreme issues facing coral reefs and ecosystems world wide. This pushed him into a life full of nature and biology working with marine and freshwater creatures. Adam went on to study marine biology at the University of Oregon focusing on benthic shelf invertebrates as well as coastal ecosystems. After graduating, even with all the beauty of the Oregon coast, he decided to leave to pursue a career in coral restoration. After interning here at Mote, his passion was cemented and he soon joined the team caring and studying for the mesophotic octocoral of the gulf as well as improving practices for recruit rearing.
