Born and raised in Southern Oregon, Britney’s deep love for nature inspired her to pursue a career in zoology and marine science. She studied Fisheries and Wildlife with an emphasis on Conservation and Ecology at Oregon State University, gaining practical experience through internships in animal husbandry and community education.
Her journey led her to Florida, where she completed Mote’s Sea Turtle Hospital rehabilitation internship, strengthening her dedication to marine conservation. After contributing to outreach efforts with other local organizations, she rejoined Mote in 2024 to further its mission of education, research, and conservation.
With a passion for building community connections, Britney is committed to inspiring people from all backgrounds to protect the ocean. Drawing on her experience in conservation and animal care, she works to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for marine life among diverse communities, ensuring that everyone has a voice in ocean conservation.
