Elizabeth Kohl

Biography:

Betsy Kohl serves as the Senior Manager of Guest Experience at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, where she oversees daily guest operations, engagement strategy, and initiatives that enhance the visitor experience, membership growth, and overall satisfaction. Since joining the organization in 2021, she has advanced through multiple leadership roles across membership and guest experience, contributing to operational improvements, revenue growth, and enhanced visitor satisfaction, with a focus on team development and organizational performance.

Betsy brings 20 years of experience in event management, business development, tourism, and hospitality, with a background in public attractions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Betsy grew up visiting the Sarasota and Longboat Key area and attended summer programs at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium. She is passionate about animal welfare, enjoys exploring historical sites, and actively supports local businesses.
