Biography:

Erin Muir joined Mote in the newly created position of Community Engagement Manager for the Upper Keys in March of 2022. As the Upper Keys operations continue to expand for Mote’s restoration efforts, Muir serves as the liaison with the local community, helping to enhance awareness and support of Mote.

Erin previously worked as the Membership and Events Manager at the Florida Keys History & Discovery Center, where Mote hosts an exhibit focused on Florida’s Coral Reef. She also served as legislative aide to State Representative Holly Merrill Raschein for six years.

Born and raised in the Upper Keys, Erin is deeply committed to her community. She currently serves as chair of the Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition, board member for the Florida Keys History and Discovery Foundation, trustee for the Historical Preservation Society of the Upper Keys and graduate of Leadership Monroe County, Class XXIII. Erin is also an appointee to the Monroe County Land Authority Advisory Committee, which makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on Land Authority acquisitions for environmental protection and affordable housing.
