Biography:
Genna Nordling is an Education Specialist at Mote’s Elizabeth Moore International Center for Coral Reef Research & Restoration (IC2R3) on Summerland Key, FL. Growing up in Broward County, Genna has always been interested in and connected to the ocean, leading her to pursue degrees in marine science and marine conservation from UF and UM. She has a background in science communication and, as a part of her final report for her masters degree, she explored new ways to digitally communicate hurricane research conducted at the NOAA Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory. After graduating from the University of Miami in December 2025, Genna worked as an education intern at IC2R3 and has been with Mote ever since. She is excited to be able to share her passion and knowledge of the ocean and Florida’s coastal ecosystems.
