Biography:
Katie joined the Center for Fisheries Electronic Monitoring at Mote (CFEMM) in 2022, where she contributes to innovative marine fisheries research in the Gulf of Mexico. She collaborates with commercial fishermen, automates data products, develops web-based applications, and applies artificial intelligence algorithms to support long-term fishery health. Driven by a passion for leveraging data and technology, Katie is committed to advancing Mote’s mission of protecting and restoring fisheries and the communities that depend on them.
