Biography:

Logan is focused on Coral Reef Restoration, Coral aquaculture, Field Operations, Inventory Management, Restoration Design.

Logan Marion is the Nursery Operations Coordinator for our Coral Reef Restoration Program in the Lower Keys. Growing up, he found a profound appreciation for aquatic ecosystems through fishing, water sports, and Scuba diving. At UW-Madison, Logan applied a research focus to limnology, studying anthropogenic impacts on freshwater ecosystems and the succeeding restoration of degraded systems. Starting as a Staff Biologist in 2024, Logan has helped to develop and guide Mote’s coral restoration program at the Elizabeth Moore International Center for Coral Reef Restoration and Research. At his current role, he coordinates and supervises restoration activities associated with land and field based coral nurseries. This includes the husbandry, propagation, outplanting, monitoring, and inventory management of tens of thousands of coral. Logan works closely with the Field Operations Coordinator and Coral Reef Restoration Program Manager to accomplish restoration milestones.
