Biography:

Marie Hernandez brings over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector to her role at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium. Her journey into conservation and research began during her time as a member of the fundraising team at Zoo Miami, where she developed a deep commitment to wildlife and environmental stewardship. 

In 2024, Marie joined Mote’s team, eager to leverage her expertise to foster connections with donors who share a passion for our oceans and the remarkable marine life they sustain. Marie is dedicated to advancing Mote’s mission of marine science, conservation, and public education, ensuring impactful support for groundbreaking research and vital conservation initiatives.
