Research Technician

Katie Harrington joined the Center for Fisheries Electronic Monitoring at Mote (CFEMM) in 2022. She applies her skills in R, ArcGIS Pro, and Python to support various marine fisheries conservation projects to decrease bycatch, automate data products, develop hotspot mapping routines, apply artifical intelligence algorithms, review electonic monitring footage, and obtain biological samples of data deficient species. She is passionate about using data and technology to advance the mission of protecting and restoring fisheries and the communities that depend on them.
