Biography:
Samantha joined Mote as a Staff Chemist for the Chemical & Physical Ecology program in 2026 after working in a vascular biology laboratory at Augusta University for two years, where she studied Peripheral Arterial Disease at the molecular level. While she was an undergraduate student, Samantha worked on a few research projects focusing on environmental toxicology in estuarine environments, physiological responses to microplastics in anemones, and octocoral morphology and zonation in Belize. At Mote, she analyzes water quality following NELAC standards in varying environmental projects while also participating in field work.
