Biography:

At Mote Marine Laboratory Seth conducts methods that research coastal and open ocean acidification processes. This includes, but is not limited to, measuring seawater samples for dissolved inorganic carbon, alkalinity, and total pH for calculating the entirety of the ocean carbonate system. During his time in college at the University of South Carolina, Seth analyzed samples for particulate carbon, nitrogen, and silica as part of multiple sediment trap projects spanning the Santa Barbara Basin, the Northeast Pacific Ocean, and the Gulf of Mexico.
