We're working hard to plan Mote Aquarium's rebirth in the coming years on mainland Sarasota County. As part of this process, our commemorative brick program ended on Sept. 1, 2018.
The engraved, commemorative bricks have been a wonderful part of Mote, and we treasure the thoughts and feelings behind each one. We value these bricks as part of our history and a part of your memories. We will make every reasonable effort to see that these messages and memories are preserved in some capacity as we evolve our City Island campus into an International Marine Science, Technology and Innovation Park.
There are other fantastic ways to honor your loved ones through Mote. You will still have the opportunity to symbolically adopt an animal such as a manatee, shark, sea turtle or other resident species at Mote, in your loved one's name. You can also make a donation to honor or commemorate the life of a loved one.
