03/30/2019  Rye was found on a bach in Cape Canaveral. Carapace covered with epibiota and some of the scutes were peeling off. Taken to Brevard Zoo Sea Turtle Healing Center.

04/02/2019  Rye was transferred to Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium's sea turtle hospital. Was put on a round of injectable antibiotics and eating well.

04/12/2019  Rye was taken off of the injectable antibiotic and put on an oral version. Still eating well.

05/26/2019  Rye continues to improve and is gaining weight.

06/06/2019 Rye has been taken off of oral antibiotics!

07/02/2019  Rye is being considered for release.

07/12/2019  Rye was released off of Ponce Inlet, FL!
