Blood work revealed an elevated white blood cell count, low blood glucose, and low calcium. Turtle was started on injectable antibiotics and will be given subcutaneous fluids with calcium until eating. Will be kept in a shallow pool until able to swim normally.
08/26/2018 Turtle ate today. The depth of her tank was increased slightly.
08/27/2018 Sunshine continues to eat well. She was moved to a larger tank today.
09/11/2018 Sunshine was switched from an injectable to an oral antibiotic to minimize handling. The depth of the tank is increased to full. Animal is eating well and swimming normally.
