Final Disposition

Sven was released off Canaveral National Seashore located on the east coast of Florida.

12/10/2019 Turtle-199 stranded during the Cold Stun event up north in Massachusetts. Rescuers brought Turtle-199 back to New England Aquarium to begin rehabilitation.

12/18/2019 Turtle-199 was flown to Florida and transferred to Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium's Rehabilitation Hospital for continued care. Here Turtle-199 was deemed "Sven".

12/19/2019 Sven has been put on eye drops in each eye for corneal ulcers, an injectible antibiotic, and fluids every 3 days until eating.

12/24/2019 Sven is still on eye drops and injectible antibiotics but has started eating regulary so fluids have been discontinued.

01/31/2020 Sven has been doing very well. Eye drops and injectable antibiotics were discontinued and replaced with oral antibiotcs.

02/20/2020 Sven has been taken off of all medications!

03/04/2020 Sven was cleared for release.

03/05/2020 Sven was taken to the east coast for release!
