03/30/2019 Waffle was found very lethargic on India Atlantic beach. No injuries were noted but the carapace had a few barnacles. Was taken to Brevard Zoo Sea Turtle Healing Center.

04/02/2019 Waffle was transferred to Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium's sea turtle hospital. Put on a round of injectable antibiotics. Started eating right away. Watching defecations closely as monofilament fishing line was found in the first defecation.

04/12/2019 Waffle was taken off injectable antiobiotcs and put on an oral version. Eating very well. We have not seen any more monofilament in the fecal matter.

05/26/2019 Waffle's oral antibiotic was discontinued! Continues to improve and gain weight.

06/19/2019 Waffle was medically cleared and released by Mote staff and interns off of the east coast!
