Come meet our fish—and our scientists. Mote Aquarium is your window into the ocean, featuring more than 100 species of marine animals and showcasing working laboratories where real scientific research happens.
Discover our amazing oceans by visiting our 135,000-gallon shark habitat, meeting our resident manatees and sea turtes, and exploring coral reefs and other ecosystem displays teeming with diverse fishes, cool crustaceans and gracefully drifting sea jellies. Explore our wild watershed through exhibits featuring energetic river otters, along with toothy crocodilians such as alligators and caimans.
Note: Resident manatees Hugh & Buffett will be away from their exhibit temporarily, while we complete renovations and upgrades. Starting Jan. 13, 2020, both manatees will be behind the scenes for several weeks. Thanks for your patience!
