Dec. 8: Sarasota Bay Fisheries Forum

The Sarasota Bay Fisheries forum — a group for anglers, scientists and others seeking to proactively address fisheries management and science topics in the Sarasota Bay area — is gearing up for its free December meeting.

During the meeting Dr. Kellie Dixon, Manager of the Chemical and Physical Ecology Program at Mote Marine Laboratory, will be presenting on water quality in the Bay, there will be discussion about beach nourishment projects and a mangrove subcommittee update.

The free meeting is open to the public and will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the third-floor Buchanan Room at Mote, 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway on City Island, Sarasota, FL 34236.

The Sarasota Bay Fisheries Forum is an independent, community discussion designed to help inform fisheries management and science.
