Biography:

Jason is focused on Public Speaking, Lifelong Learning, Instructional Design, Interactive Virtual Learning.

I joined Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium in 2001 as a Project Manager for the SeaTrek Project, a collaborative distance learning program between the Sarasota County School Board, Mote Marine Laboratory, Selby Botanical Gardens, and NASA.

I now work as a Program Manager in the Education, Aquarium and Outreach Division where I design, develop, and deliver programs for audiences of all ages, from PreK to gray. I am also the technical director for SEA Trek virtual learning programs and multimedia producer for SEA Show content.

I am a certified Florida Master Naturalist and Instructor and serve as the Central West representative on the FMNP advisory board. In addition to FMNP, I also coordinate Endless Oceans, Mote’s lifelong learning program.

I am on the advisory board for the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration and a global member of the Children’s Media Association.

I am also a board member of the Florida Marine Science Educators Association and an Aquatic Species Collection Workshop instructor for them.

Before joining Mote, I worked in public television and environmental project management for the state of Florida.
