Dakotah Merck is a coral restoration technician at IC2R3 in Summerland Key Florida. Prior to his employment with Mote he worked as a biologist in aquaculture, artificial reefs, and the office of fisheries management within the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. He is currently working full-time in the land based nursery caring for stony and branching corals as well as the outplanting and monitoring of these corals back onto the reef.
