4/29 Emma Grace arrived to the hospital in a weak condition. The turtle had been hooked by a fishing lure that had two treble hooks. The hooks had gone through the turtle's mouth and the left front flipper. The people who found the turtle on the beach removed the hooks before Mote arrived. Emma Grace recieved fluids and was placed in low water. 5/18 The turtle continues to improve and has a ravenous appetite. Emma Grace has been moved to deeper water and continues to get stronger every day! 6/2 Emma Grace continues to eat well and the turtle's wounds are healing well. 6/13 Emma Grace continues to eat well and gain strength daily.7/8 Emma Grace was released from the beach on Boca Grande today.
