Released off Lido Beach.
Farfalle after admission and disentanglement.
5/22 Turtle was found offshore with crab trap rope encircling neck causing a deep laceration around her neck. Mote researchers were able to respond, disentangle animal and bring to Mote's hospital. Animal in good body condition and able to be at full water level in medical pool. Turtle not accepting food.
6/3 Turtle offered live crabs to encourage eating, no success.
6/8 Turtle on antibiotic treatment, fluid therapy and occasionally force-fed in order to administer medications and supplements.
6/9 Turtle is finally taking food on her own.
6/24 Dr Stamper debrided wound which continues to heal. Turtle continues to eat well and is gaining weight. Off all antibiotics.
7/18 Animal continues to improve. Wounds still healing.
8/23 Turtle has been medically cleared by veterinarian. Have applied for release.
8/30 Farfalle was released on Aug. 30 from Lido Beach after 100 days of care at Mote.
