Gnocchi upon arrival.

5/4 Turtle stranded lethargic and underweight with significant barnacle growth.  Volusia County Marine Science Center recovered turtle initially and transported to Sea World the next day due to overflow of sea turtle patients from a mass stranding event.

5/6 Arrived at Mote.  Only eating sea grass initially.  Turtle on antibiotic treatment and antiparasitics

5/7 Turtle starting to take food offered.

6/7 Turtle is in a tank with another green turtle (Pesto) and cohabiting well.  Eating well, in deep water, and active.

6/23 Turtle shell still needs a little time to heal. Will consider release in the next few weeks.

7/25 Thanks to Brenda Lee and her pilot husband, Sam DiGiammarino, who donated the use of their airplane, Gnocchi and Pesto were flown to Volusia County and released near New Smyrna Beach.
