Leonard upon arrival.

4/12 Turtle was found floating near the Sanibel Causeway. This green sea turtle has multiple fibropapillomas that are shown in the image above.

4/13 Will start Leonard on antibiotics and fluid therapy until the turtle begins eating.

4/16 Leonard is eating small amounts of sea grass.

5/1  Leonard has started to eat better and is stable in weight.

5/25 Leonard was stable enough to have sugery to remove life threatening tumors.

6/5 Leonard is not eating well since sugery.

6/15 The turtle is finally eating better but remains on antibiotics and pain medication.

6/30 Eating all that is offered.

7/30 Turtle has an elevated white blood cell count, so we will try a new antibiotic for treatment.

9/17 We did cryosurgery on some new fibropapilloma tumors that were found on Leonard

10/7 Internal tumors were found — a condition that cannot be treated. So Leonard was humanely euthanized.
