SCUBAPRO+Mote Community Coral Reef Restoration Program
SCUBAPRO is partnering with its vast network of ocean conservation-conscious brand dealers to organize a series of coral reef restoration events for divers to experience first-hand Mote’s science-based research and conservation efforts to protect the oceans we all love and enjoy.
Join SCUBAPRO and Mote Marine Laboratory as a citizen scientist and receive hands-on opportunities to make a positive difference in the health of our coral reef system.
Spend a day learning about coral reef science, helping fragment coral utilizing Mote’s science to create genetically identical duplicates that grow as much as 50x faster than a natural coral, maintaining Mote’s expansive in-water nurseries, outplanting on designated reefs, and earn a certification upon program completion.
All scuba divers are welcome to join SCUBAPRO and Mote for these restoration events.

Islamorada
I.CARE
Mote Marine Laboratory partners with local nonprofit I.CARE to bring community-based reef restoration to the Islamorada area, including the world-famous Alligator Reef. I.CARE incorporates local businesses, residents and visitors in the restoration and maintenance of our coral reef communities through activities such as coral transplanting, marine debris clean-ups and reef monitoring.
