Meet the Team

After moving from Indiana in 2020, Summer began working in Florida’s marine science non-profit sector. She initially focused on the removal and awareness efforts of invasive species, particularly the invasive lionfish. She started working at Mote in 2022 as the Education Specialist for the Upper Florida Keys. At Mote, she will continue advocating for marine life, participating in outreach events, and coordinating education programs for the community she has come to love.
