Jill Earles

Aquarium Biologist II

Jill joined the Mammals and Reptiles at Mote in 2020. She first found a passion for sea turtles while volunteering at the Cairns Sea Turtle Hospital in Queensland, Australia. After graduating college, her passion for sea turtles took her to Costa Rica and then Florida to pursue opportunities in sea turtle nesting research. She then spent a year at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center focusing on wildlife rehabilitiation for reptiles and birds. To further her career in sea turtle work, Jill interned for Mote's Sea Turtle, Whale, and Dolphin Hospital as well as the Mammals and Reptiles department. The 2019 hatchling season kept her busy as one of the Hatchling Hospital technicians before she went back to sea turtle rehab. Jill is excited to be back at Mote to care for the sea turtles, manatees, otters, and crocodilians.
