Gills Club April Meeting

April 22, 2017

Girls interested in science — especially sharks, skates and rays — are invited to a free meeting of the Gills Club from 1:00-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 22nd at Mote Marine Laboratory. The meeting includes hands-on activities based on current research and the introduction of a researcher.

Mote is partnering with Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, which created the Gills Club, to bring science to more girls in our community. The Gills Club is geared toward girls ages 6-13, and families are also welcome.

This month Gills will learn about some cool citizen science projects and ways that they can get involved with protecting our ocean resources, including sharks and rays!

Participation in the Gills Club events is free but does not cover visiting Mote Aquarium. RSVP is required for all meetings of the Gills Club and children must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited and registration is taken on a first come, first serve basis and will close the Friday before the event at 5:00 p.m. (or sooner if we reach maximum capacity).

Please contact etodd@mote.org if you have any questions or to cancel your reservation.
