Homeschool Day - Spineless Sea: Invert Classification and Dissection (STEM Lab)

Multiple Dates

Marine invertebrates make up more animals on planet Earth than all other groups of animals combined.  During this laboratory program, students will explore marine invertebrates taxonomy and classification to learn what it takes to survive in the sea without a backbone. Students will dive deeper into the phylum Mollusca as they utilize scientific tools and techniques during a squid dissection.  We will end this class in the main Mote Aquarium with a visit to our preserved giant squid, Molly the mollusk!
