A worldwide ocean celebration is on the horizon — join the fun during the World Oceans Day Family Festival on Saturday, June 8 at Mote Aquarium. Mote’s World Oceans Day event will spotlight the ocean's deep connection to the human spirit and the boundless inspirational power of our natural world's greatest resource. The family festival is free with regular paid admission to Mote Aquarium and is free for Mote Members.
10:00-1:00pm Visit more than 25 interactive Mote Education, local non-profit, and sponsor booths
10:00-1:00pm Photo opportunities with our mascots Shelley the sea turtle, Gilly the shark, and Ollie the river otter (on rotation)
10:00am-1:00pm Akiko Face Painting, included with admission
10:15am-10:30am Aquaculture presentation by Mote Educator
11:00am-11:30am Stingray presentation by Mote Educator
10:00am-11:30am Performances by The Garbage Men band
11:30am-1:00pm Performances by Everyone Rocks bands
12:00pm-12:30pm Shark presentation by Mote Educator
12:00pm-1:00pm Photo opportunity with a tank diver in front of our SharkTracker exhibit
2:00pm Join us in the Wave Center after the Family Festival for a screening of Dispatches from the Gulf, included with admission
